One of our core values as a University is passion for the Great Commission. As a way of living out this core value, each year, ILU Community plans annual missions to reach out to different communities with the gospel as well as interacting with local leaders at the mission ground so that they can be catalysts of grassroot’s societal transformation, which is in line with our University call.
This year, in partnership with local area churches, we plan to reach the Maasai people group in Olepolos and Ewaso Ngiro, Narok County, which is approximately 200km from Nairobi. We hope to have at least 100 missioners (being ILU Students, Faculty, Staff, Alumni, Our Sponsors-LIFE Ministry Staff and friends of ILU) attend this year’s mission. You can be part of the mission through praying, giving financial support and most importantly, planning to go.
As Paul reminds us: 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” [Romans 10:14-15]
